Jaw bone age guess

Here is the jaw off the buck I killed Friday, anyone with experience or knowledge of tooth wear care to chime in on age ?

By the molars, id say 4.5....

But I don't recall seeing a 4.5yo with that little wear on the 3rd premolar...

Def not a classic wear pattern

For sure 3.5, but would need top down to hone in. As mentioned above, pretty tall sharp teeth, and not a ton of wear suggesting 4.5. As you know, even if the teeth wear suggests classic 3.5, that is just a guaranteed minimum age, so "3.5+" would be the correct way to notate it. Based on the pics I saw of your buck, I highly suspect he is 4.5. Congrats on your buck!
