trail cameras have lit up this week with more buck movement. Second day I ve hunted all year had a perfect little 2.5 year old 8 point pestering a doe and fawn at 8:00 am and shortly after layed eyes on a mature 8 point at 40 yards just way to thick for any shot opportunity

Until a week ago, all my buck trail-cam videos were from scrapes. Only does and fawns in the food plots. However, in the last week, suddenly the food plots are flooded with yearling bucks checking out the does. Got several pester chases on video.

I've had 3 new bucks appear on my 2 cell cams in the past week. Two different mid TN counties. No chasing that I've seen...the young bucks always start bothering the does first. But the bigger bucks are starting to cover some ground. It ain't far off.

I should add that one camera is on a salt lick that was started this year, and the other is on a chinkapin oak with tons of acorns and an old salt lick that hasn't been freshened up. I'm about to move the cameras to scrapes in the next few days.

Not much happening in southern Ky. Young bucks sparring rubbing and scraping. No big boys showing up. Maybe this morning will be the day. Good luck to all.

Not happening in Fayette Co. yet. Saw a 1.5 yr old 8pt and then later a 4pt in the food plot that showed no interest in the does.
