Two different chases came thru this morning! One spike chased a doe right behind my stand and she squatted and peed, then took off like a bolt again, spike hot on her heels ! I stood and turned to shoot the doe on my left side, but as I did she wheeled and went 180 wide open and was gone before I knew what had happened! I love this time of year!

I've seen several small bucks chasing and several does going solo in the past couple days, but I think that the good stuff with the big boys is still a few days out here in the valley.

I'm confused on whether its on or not in Bedford. Had an 8 chasing hard Monday but been the only real sign. I passed up a really young 8 following three does but he wasn't fired up. So far today one guy had three doe feed under him for almost 30 mins, another had a 4 pt walk by, in no hurry at all.
