I'll start. I'll have one of two smokeless MLs in my hand, depending on where I sit.

#1 is a Remingon 700 ML with PacNor barrel. Nicknamed her Fat Amy. She's more for field sits.


#2 is a H&R 45-70 Conversion. For my long hikes though the woods.

this is my latest, its name is Hombre. its a .416 built on a Remmy XR-100 with a 11 twist 27" Pacnor..lots of other goodies in there too. it will push a 340 grn cutting edge bullet @ 2800+

Hitting oakridge next weekend with mine.finally looked at my permit and it sez shotgun thought it use to say muzzle loader also but will ck. Reckon i might reset my scope and try to kill a couple wth the 240g xtp. My rifle shoots them really well
 
Fine looking guns...I like the Roost savage with thumb hole stock and the 280logshot 700 conversion!
 
My ULA model 20 50cal is my normal SML hunting rifle. Kinda hard to argue with a sub 7lb ready to hunt rifle that can shoot a 275gr BE 2400fps.

No, i cant due to i seldom take those kinds of pics anymore. I can say, its my opinion you should stick to double lung heart shots with the BE unless you dont mind heavy meat loss. Its my opinion the BE is a bit fragile and if you want to use them the 300gr is likely a better choice. I dont shoot the 300gr simply because the extra recoil becomes a bit much for me in a 7lb rifle. Plus i bought a bunch of the 275gr BEs when Traditions had a sale on them.

Personally i like the Barnes 225gr XPB better in the ULA. Recoil is much lighter and i can practice with the 225gr FTX. I shoot the XPB around 2300fps and they are flawless in performance.

They are a hoot on water jugs too.
