I would have thought Maypops but those look like they come off of a bush or tree where they come off of a vine

We always called them wildlife pear trees.
Have you cut one open?

I think that's some variation of the Bradford pear. Deer will probably eat them as they're passing thru.

Did you taste one and see if it tasted sweet, like a pear?
