Dear guy with the "treestand on wheels" next time you want to drag that thing by me 10 min before daylight and I flashlight you "off" an you start cussing at me, I'm gonna give you something to cuss about :super: ..... It's not my fault you want to go back to your truck at 7:15 with a treestand hooked to a game cart. Some people are freaking ridiculous, why couldn't he just acknowledge I was there and keep moving instead of standing in front of me acting like a jack wagon. People kill me :bash:

These are the same people that think they own the interstate and believe everyone is there with their permission.

Some of the finer moments while hunting public land. I know you were wondering why you got out of bed. Years ago I had a guy do the same thing after he hung deer testicles on my tree step. It wasnt a pleasant discussion 20 mins before daylight.

Sorry man I had to poo and didn't want to mess any body's hunting up so I came out to do it. I'm fixing to come back through now. I'll stop and ask if you've seen anything

Lol. All joking aside that is disrespectful. But it's public land and to be expected I guess. Maybe he didn't mess you up to bad on the hunt

I used to hunt Fort Campbell quite a bit and it was inevitable that was going to happen at least once a year.

He scouted the same thing you did. Sounds like he didn't have a back up spot. Might turn out well for you.

Hunted public land this Sunday had a guy walking around shooting a shotgun. I packed up my stuff to leave because it's a very small wma and found a dead squirrel laying in the trail peppered with shot.

There comes a point when you have to NOT bite your tongue and turn the other cheek. Once he cursed at me, the gloves would have come off.
Yeah 2 pissed off guys with guns will surely end well.

That is exactly why I don't put in for draw hunts. Seen enough of that in the 70s and 80s, I can only imagine what it is today

That's part of the game on WMA hunts. If you don't like it, don't put in for them.
Alright let someone stand in front of you and have a convo with his buddy at 7:45am, tell them to pick a tree so u can hunt , 9:30am rolls around here the same guys come again, then 6:15 they come bacK through and at 6:35 they walk back by your treestand.... If u don't get a little upset, then maybe you should join them boys that hunt hiwassee refuge, might as well be an amusement park.

I had a similar incident on our farm. A kid parks a bucket at the base of my tree and starts hunting. I tell him he's on private property and he says "You got the deed?" I said "You've got until I get out of this stand to clear out." He smart mouthed me all the way out.

I use to put in for Williamsport every year. On more then one occasion had people walk by right before sunrise smoking cigarettes, dragging in stands, talking on the phone you name it. just quit putting in for any draw hunts.

x2 I can't wait for my draw hunts this year even though it's a brown down hunt loaded with hunters.

The appeal to me is hunting a particular place that I love and the challenge of trying to find a deer among all the parked trucks and Elmer Fudds. And see people riding the roads with deer on their 4 wheeler or truck, talk to people about what they've seen, and put the 30-30 to work

There's a difference in 2 or 3 coming by you to go to their stand, then the same guy coming by you 6x

That is why you have to go deeper than everyone else. You will have better odds that way.
ha ha most of the public land I hunt you don't go "deeper" you just go closer to the next road. You have to find the odd places that most people go past

I had a spot like that, killed 4 deer out of a tree that wasn't even 50 yards off the road. Pretty sure it was good because the road was narrow there so you had to park and walk down the road a hundred yards or so. I guess that was too much of a downhill walk for most people

The nerve of some people. I don't even like getting close to the property line even on my own property. And people wonder why people get beat up or shot over hunting property. Not saying it's right but some people just deserve a good butt whooping.

Oohhhh. That would not have turned out well for him if he did that to me. That would have flipped my mad Mama switch. I probably would have dragged him out by his ear.
