and I missed!!! haha...I can't believe it. Big doe came out first and took off running across the field...then, the biggun stuck his head out and took off after her. I yelled and he stopped...broadside...looking right at me and I've got the crosshairs on him. When he turned his head to leave I shot. He ran off 40 yards and stopped...looked back and went into the woods after the doe. For an brief instance I thought I saw him stumble but after 3 hours of looking...no blood, no hair and no buck...

I gotta tell ya I was actually kind of sick to my stomach for a little bit. He was every bit of what I thought...giant 10 point...I'm going to sleep well tonight..

Get your boy on 'em now! Of course you won't hear the end of it when he shoots the deer you missed :D

Haha..yeah, to heck with that...I'm going to hunt that buck till the pry me out of the woods like a tick on a hound dog :D

Had something else happen...After searching for a couple of hours I decided to get my four wheeler and drive along the edge of the field and see if maybe I was off on the entry point...grabbing at straws. Driving along real slow and felt like something was looking at me..turned and there is a deer trotting, sorta, right at me. I stopped, got the mz off my shoulder and got behind the four wheeler. This deer looked ragged and beat...came right towards me and at about 20 yards went into the woods...I'm thinking it's a doe and maybe..well, you know. A few seconds later the deer comes back out of the woods right beside me! Drooling like crazy and unsteady...and at that point I could see it was a button buck. He almost walked over me, even when I stood up he ignored me...finally kinda staggered off through the field drooling and looking disoriented. What the heck was that all about?!
