I've gotten into pressure testing and after seeing for myself just how much better LRMP ignition is than 209, I decided to rebarrel my 209 pressure test gun and install a different barrel chambered for LRMP to be used as a backup to my backup that backs up my favorite carry gun an H@R Ultrahunter 45-70m conversion. Anyway, I've named her Ole Black Betty. She is a Savage s/a, EABCO Savage Accuracy barrel that was chambered in 1 in 14 twist 450 Marlin until I rechambered it to LRMP, It is pillar bedded in a Boyds laminate stock that is set up as a ML. I haven't added the ramrod yet because I'm waiting for Creakote to coat the ramrod and barrel band that I made for it. I plan to change the scope out for a 1/2 pound lighter Redfield Revolution 3-9x50 that I have, as I don't need 16x in most woods hunting situations. It surprised me and will shoot 250 TEZ's without a duplex. I went to the range to pressure test the other day and my equipment went tits up so I zeroed her and fired some shots at a target.
I got in a hurry and pulled the last shot in part due to inserting a spent module previously which caught me off guard. I'm really pleased with her and the 250TEZ is a real deer thumper.
