While it would be great to have him, we should be fine. But, this doesn't look good for his career.

I am not very hopeful that we will see him pitch for the Vols again. I suspect it might be heading to a Tommy John surgery. They have tried the rest route, and it hasn't seemed to work.

I am right there with you. Really stinks considering we are due to take a massive step back next year, especially if he isn't throwing.

Yeah, I think Vol fans are starting to take Vitello and SEC championships for granted way too much. We are losing a bunch of studs across the field when this season ends, and I'm not sure that we have their replacements sitting on the bench right now. Supposedly we have some great players committed to sign, but, it looks like several of them will go high in the draft.

We need to enjoy the high level of play while we have it.

I am not taking it for granted! I love watching them play and believe they will win the whole thing this year! No Paul Skenes on the mound this year for any of the remaining teams. They just gotta keep crushing the baseball like they have been and not give up more than 5-6 runs a game and they will go all the way! I have been to several games this year. The funny thing is at the beginning of the season, I as well as many others thought this team would not go far and turns out they have been better than ever this year! Goes to show you Vitello is one hell of a coach and I don't think hes going anywhere! As long as we got him, we will be just fine! Btw C Mo, Ensley, Amick, Causey, Burke, Combs, and Beam are all Juniors! And then Phillips, Loy, Dallas, Schaefer, Hunley, Curley, Tears, Behnke, Bargo, Chapman, Dreiling, Snead, and Peebles are all Freshman or Sophomores! I don't see that much of a drop off next year. I am sure Vitello will find more next year to replace Burke and C Mo.

I saw where LSU had a pitcher enter the portal yesterday. Someone mentioned that he'd be coming to Tennessee. I have no idea of the guy is legit or throwing stuff out there.
