I am putting in at Hw 70 New Johnsonville bridge next wednesday and was wondering if anyone would be willing to offer any tips on places near by to hit... I normally put in at pebble isle or harmon creek and don't run up towards the bridge not past bever dam creek anyway. We will be taking a quick trip in the flat bottom looking for some bass. Thanks for any help guys! Happy fishing

The grass on the west side of the main channel out in front of eva. Spinnerbaits and topwater have been hot in there. We had
16 pounds Saturday in the madhouse of boats there. You should
also check the ledges around the 70 bridge.

The grass pattern has been beat to death and its gettin less fish each day from all the Tourneys out of Paris Landing. From the Bridge south there is little grass.Fish stumps,Logs Ledges Etc.Any cover in deeper water.

The West TN Elite Bass Club had a tournament out of New Johnsonville this past weekend, along with another Tournament. It was crowded place for sure!

My Co-Angler and I decided to stay shallow and start out in the back of Bird Song fishing the lilly pads. We boated a few, and my co-angler hooked into a nice 4.74lb bass. Then we went N. of the 70 Bridge and started flipping/pitching around a marina in a cove just north of the bridge on the right.... forgot what the marina was called, we only went in there to allow a barge and slew of big house boats come down the river with out fighting the wakes.... The Ledge Fishing was pretty tough and a lot of folks were having trouble getting the schools fired up. The one's that did manage to get a school active caught them on C-Rigs and Jigs

Ditto the post on staying in the channel.... in a matter of 5ft you can go from 30ft deep to 2ft!! ESP on the W-side!
