Some may have seen my other post about my solix 15 crapping out on me. It actually started working again but I have a new one now and don't believe I want to trust the old one and sure as heck not going to sell it to anyone like it is. Does anyone have any experience sending a unit back to get refurbished? Or do they even do something like that?

A friend just sent his solix or helix 15 back after he cracked the screen. He was very complimentary of their customer service.

Spoke with them (hummingbird). They said $850 flat fee for fixing anything wrong with it. I'm just not sure it's worth it since it's a gen 1 with 2600 hrs on it when I just bought a new gen 3 for $2,300.00. It was $500 off for Father's Day special.

I totally understand that. I think he had the same thoughts initially.
