How to control Squash Bugs

Before they invade my squash again this year, I would like to know how some of you control or kill those little pests that seem to wipe out my squash every year. I've tried sevin dust and even pesticides but just can't seem to get the upper hand on them. They seem to multiply faster than rabbits.

I spay with liquid seven every time I see them, maybe 2 or 3 times a week. If they are bad you can use Malathion.

The best way I have found is just to catch them and kill them by hand. When you water the plants the bugs will climb to the top if the plant. Just catch and kill all that you see. If you see the egg clusters on the leaves go ahead and pull that small part of the leaf off so the eggs do do hatch.

For some reason I can never get rid of all of them though.

The vine borers are the worst.

Having decent luck using dodgemans method on the squash beetles.

Ill seven dust the egg clusters rather than tear up the leaves.

I don't get a lot of egg clusters or I would not tear up the leaves. If I start to see a lot of egg clusters I just soak them down with seven and keep a eye on them for a few days to make sure it kills them.
