I love those things. My trees are loaded as well. I've potted 3 trees I've dug up from last year that are doing well, even the tiny ones have a killer root system . Separating the seeds from the fruit is the pain when making the bread but boy is it good.

Separating the meat from the seeds is a HUGE pain for making paw paw bread!!! I did it a couple years ago. The end result was delicious.
Didn't find the first paw paw last year. I may do the bread again this year. I've saw enough fruit on one tree to make bread. And nearly every tree with any size to it is loaded just the same.
Got to looking back through pics. It was august 26th 2 years ago when I got a big mess and made bread. I'll swear, I thought I had found them as late as bow season opener in the past (pre camera phones). But, in retrospect, it might have been squirrel season. Time gets away.

I've heard of picking up Paul Paul's and putting them in the basket song, but I don't think I've ever seen one in my entire life. Sure didn't know you can make bread out of one… Learn something here all the time!
I'll get it from the wife. She's the boss with that stuff. I just collect the fruit and separate the seeds. So far as I know it's exactly like banana bread except pawpaws instead of bananas.
Yes it's a mess. I've found it best to just embrace the mess. I squeeze the fruit in fist over a bowl. The pulp oozes out and im left with only seeds and rind in my hand. I throw that away and grab another fruit. Goes pretty quick.

Wife makes banana bread and zucchini bread....now I know we gotta plant some paw paw trees!
It has a unique flavor like nothing else. Absolutely worth the effort.
