Without another rain? Got my plots sewn on August 28th ... wheat, crimson clover, beets, turnips and radish. We had two rains, about 0.5" and 0.67" within a week after planting. It was dry n dusty when I planted. Since then, none. For sure, it germinated well. How long now can my young, tender plants last till another rain?

Good question. I have the same issue with a couple of mine. Seed germinated and started well after a bit of rain, now not much in the forecast. Some of it will die I'm pretty sure.

if it has sprouted and has a decent size leaf or blade it will soak up a good bit of morning dew and survive longer than you think in many cases, especially if any is shaded from the morning sun.

I planted in Carroll Country on September 16th & 17th... not a drop of rain since... Now I see nothing bust dust bowls with a lot of turkey feathers... dang work kept me from getting the good heavy rains from the hurricane / tropical storm rains. I may be left hoping for a long lasting acorn mast crop this year
