It's all about comfort and accuracy. I think just out of curiosity I Cronoed my bow at 283 fps.

recently one of our users here gave me his old Parker Super magnum 35 bow that needed a lot of work. I had it restrung, new cables, custom arrows, etc.
Ive ended up with a pretty decent shooting bow that shoots real life hunting arrows at about 250 FPS (70/29). The IBO Speed on the bow was advertised as 312 back in 2004. It has re-ignited a passion for archery hunting that I definitely lost after I sold my old compound and got a crossbow.
Now that I'm back in the inner circle of archery enthusiasts, I'm wondering... how fast is your hunting bow?
IS it worth it for me to upgrade? There are certainly some things that this bow could do better.
Tndeer peeps.... Pour your advice out on me.
wait till you shoot one that's 50fps faster, holds better on target, doesn't vibrate at all, and is exponentially quieter than what you have now...it's gonna be hard not to cash out those miles [emoji3]docpoco":31cpcn82 said:I am impressed by the speed of this bow for its age.
Its significantly faster than the PSE I had before.
You can purchase a 5-year old bow and gain that. You'll notice 50 fps. I think my Monster 7 (28.5/70) is shooting 295 with my hunting arrow.docpoco":dvh6suoa said:anyone else shooting anything in the 300's?
I'm wondering if 50 ft/sec is enough of a gain to be worth it to purchase a new bow.

Which makes a little over 100 pounds of kinetic energy. I like throwing axes at them [WINKING FACE]

Holy crap dude! What's your setup look like? I would kill to have an arrow that heavy moving that fast!!!! I have to use a 380 grain arrow to achieve +300fps

I don't know how fast mine is, but I bet it's faster than these guy's
I am always amazed how many guys sell their 1 to 2 year old bow to get a little faster. Mine does the job well enough
