Im hoping this spot will be a dandy for the rut. The stand is where the red symbol is, its a flat bench going around the end of the ridge. When facing over the hill, to the left is recently cut timber that is thick, to the front, rear, and right is wide open mature timber that you can see 200 yards through in spots. I can see up the point to where it gets super steep and down the point on the flat where the farther stand of pines is. That is an old field area that is fairly thick. Ive never hunted this spot, it is very hard to get to so I have alot of anticipation. I will wait for good weather conditions in ML or Rifle. What do you terrain guys say? Reckon itll be good or not...

How do u have to come in? That looks like a narly walk in from any direction
From the bottom of the holler to the left in the pic. No right of way from the top unfortunately.
Dang, that looks like a good hike to the top.Looks steep! Atleast if you kill one,it would be a down hill drag..

Below your red x looks like a bench that works its way around the mountain. There is a big steep v that forms and the bench looks like it works right above it. That steep land formation should funnel the deer above it, and I bet they use that bench. The deep V continues up to where your stand is positioned.

Looks like a good spot though I am not sure if you are hunting deer or mountain goats!

i love huntn mountains , spot looks good but if me i would want to approach at daylight. if you run deer out theyre gone so at least you can see bench. the wind will be tricky but looks great for rut. goodluck, love to the determination.
