Found the bitd i wanted to shoot yesterday afternoon with 3 hens. 3 more 2yos close by. Put them to bed, set up on them 125y away.
Pulled in the 3 two year olds right off the limb. Buddy shot 1 at 615, I passed. We stayed put and I worked the hens who were still on the limb with the boss and got 2 of them worked up with a pot and 2 reed batwing. Took a bit, but they finally broke and came in with my bird in tow. Shot him at 7a.
Gonna spend the next days educating birds for fun in hopes I find another boss. If not, I'll be happy to eat my 2nd tag.
