During fall and winter, besides my wife chili, that is one of my favorite things my wife makes. Perfect comfort food.

The Boss Lady uses the leftover turkey from Thanksgiving to make pot pies for the entire family. Mmm-mmm good.

My favorite pot pie idea came out of Field and Stream about 20 years ago. Mrs. TAFKAP made it and declared it to be too much trouble at the time. Now that we (well, she) is a much better and more patient pastry chef, we need to try it again. The F&S recipe was for a wild turkey pot pie, but the big thing was the dough. It was GOOD. I'll have to dig it up because it's well worth doing from scratch.

yeah the best ive ever made. jonathon miles published some good ones under the wild chef. the cracked pepper in the crust sets it off.
