has anyone had any luck with these guns? they have great prices on them, but are they any good. I realize prices usally mean alot with the quality of any firearm. Any past experience or knowledge with these guns would be appreciated.Thanks.

Gun Test magazine did a comparison with them vs. the Ruger carbine a few years ago.The Hi Point blowed the Ruger away in all catagories. For general plinking, they're fun, would be better with a high capacity magazine.I've never owned one(just to ugly for my taste)but have shot several and they're ok.I wouldn't depend on it as a defensive weapon but for punching paper and killing coke cans its good to go.

I've got a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 in .40 that uses Glock 22 magazines. It's been very reliable and is easy to bump-fire if you just want to waste some ammo. I like that it folds up small enough to fit in a laptop case or briefcase. The 9mm would be cheaper to shoot but I already had the G22 so I wanted one that shared mags and got the .40.
