Man... I feel for you. I've lived in SC for a little over 4 years and only hunt public. Killing a turkey on WMA here isn't easy. Especially for the guys like myself who prefer the traditional methods. No blind, no decoys.
What part of SC? I'm in the upstate. I travel to the lowcountry a lot to fish the coastal creeks but never hunted down that way.

Check out Sumtoy Customs...they manufacture low profiles bases for reflex sights on most shotguns and may be able to provide some direction / suggestions. I have their mounts on 3 shotguns.
