Had a flock of toms on my trail camera. Noticed something odd about one of them. Yep. Its a redfaced black bodied Muscovy Duck!!

Today that flock came by my blind and YEP. Mr Muscovy is still hanging with them. LOL
Wonder if they consider him the Nerd of the bunch.. ?

On one of my farms, a derelict peacock has been living in the wild for the past 4 years. He lives with the turkey hens in the off season, but the toms beat the crap out of him and push him off to the periphery during April.

The great thing is... during turkey season, I can throw out a peacock call and he will always answer... giving me the location of the flock of turkeys even if the toms aren't gobbling. I've called him in to fight a few times over the past few years... almost the same thrill of calling a tom in.
