Got the itch for a new plinker. I really like the S&W MP 15-22, but can't bring myself to pay that kind of money for a plastic gun.
A nice lever action has been on my list for some time. I would like something I can run around with and not be to worried about it getting scuffed up or whatever. So I like the looks of the Henry and the price is reasonable too.

Anybody have one? How do you like it? Does it even compare to a Win 94/22?

I won a Henry 22 at a DU dinner a few years back. I don't use it much but it shoots good and will cycle shorts, longs and LRs just fine. If you load it with shorts on Sunday you can shoot all week that bugger holds something like 21 or so. Its a good little rifle.
Best of luck,

I finally got one,,it shoots better than I can see with the excellent buckhorn sights it has,,I cant bring myself to scope it,,the trigger is better than I expected and it ejects the empty`s with authority,,

it goes through ammo almost as bad as a 20 round 10-22 or a Rem Speedmaster..

I Love It..

Looks like you were able to take that hood off the front sight. Was that difficult to do. If I get one that will be the first thing to go.

the H001T with the full length octagon bbl has the Marbles Buckhorn sights and came as is in the picture,,

the round bbl H001 has different sights and is 80-90 $$ cheaper..

The hood on my winchester just slides out of a groove on each side of the front bead.

That's how it does on my henry
