I'm fairly new to hunting. This was my 3rd season. First season was not fruitful. Second season, I got my first deer, a doe, with a rifle. This year, I got my first buck/archery deer. I fish... a lot. Two summers ago I took up fly fishing and last year started tying my own flies.
I'm here because I was looking up information on hunting the WMA in Cheatham county and this forum came up. I was reading about Bowriter's (RIP) "Magic Tree" and drove around the area today trying to find it. I was not successful. I've gathered that harvesting deer has been difficult on the WMA lately. I'd still like to give it a go when next bow season opens.
I'll be joining a friend/mentor on the WMA for my first turkey hunt this spring.
