Hattie Janes in Columbia TN

We ate at Pucketts in Columbia then went next door for some ice cream at Hattie Jane's. I got a cup of honeycomb and now I'm addicted.

Anybody else had honeycomb ice cream before? Is this new or am I just really late late to the party?

Pretty good stuff. They've had it at the one in Murfreesboro for a while. The blackberry cornbread one is great, too. I don't eat at Puckett's much, but I walk down to the square for ice cream fairly regularly.

There's an ice cream and hotdog shop in Cookeville whose name is escaping me at the moment. Near the train tracks. If you're ever over there, go immediately. Similar flavors with higher quality.

I'd be willing to give this Pucketts one more chance but we didn't care for the pulled pork or brisket with 3 sides. Just reheated leftovers and not a lot of flavor. The square was nice, wr enjoyed it. First time in Ted's for me. We enjoyed the record store and the owner also, but it got hot in there. Bookstore was what I expected and I wasn't mad at that. We like the town. Did see some undesirables hanging around a laundromat but overall have enjoyed our quick trips there lately.

So was the stellar coffee. Good memories of my first date with my now wife
