Get the total out the door price from Bud's, tack on $30 for your local guy to do the FFL transfer, then shop around till a gun store will match Bud's out the door price. Tax and background check included.

I've had stores give me the stink eye then try to break my heart with a story about supporting the local guy and big chain stores trying to put them out of business, but in the end they'll still make money on the sale. And don't try to let them tell you otherwise. Once you find someone that'll match Bud's prices, make friends and use them from then on.

Gunbroker hands down. Look for northern firearms, $579 free shipping & no cc fees. Depending on your ffl lil over $610 out the door, that's a great price on an xdm. If your patient I have seen a couple on this gun go for $500 plus fees. I've been looking for an xdm 45 for a month. You gonna get the 3.8 or the 4.5?
