Guide recommendations?

Hello. I've been here several months but finally have time to try to catch some fish. Any guide recommendations around Cookeville to McMinnville areas (or farther) to fish in the next few weeks? Tried calling/emailing a few that came up with google a week ago but no return call's so far, (maybe wrong time of year to get on some fish?) Trying to shorten the learning curve with limited time. Open to most any species, rivers or lakes, fly or spin tackle.

I will second the recommendation for Sir Richard Simms.
Just tell him what kind of fish you want to catch.

He's even an expert at catching gar on the fly
and can put you in some excellent gar holes!
