Just committed to shooting the world police and fire games at the end of June . It's some target archery events and then a 25 target 3-d round . It will be interestingn because it is 50 yd. Max and unknown yardage . I haven't shot unknown in a long time so it's going to be fun trying to get ready . I'm going to shoot Open B at all te ASA's and I guess try to judge a few targets everyday untill then .

Yeah that can make or break a round. I'm going open A this year. I hope you are already further ahead on the yardage game than me cause I'm in trouble

I was thinking about shooting Open A because of the unknown aspect . But I will get annihilated in the yardage game and not be anywhere close to competetive .

When is the ASA going to up those max speed #s? I thought 3D was a sport for hunters and anyone wanting to shoot their hunting bow at 70 lbs won't have a class to shoot in due to speed restrictions : (

My Hoyt Spyder Turbo at 65 lbs might be too fast. It's 2015 yall not 2001.

It is to save targets and even the playing field .

In known classes it's not a big deal , but in unknown I am at a severe disadvantage with speed . It takes an act of congress for me to get anywhere close to the speed limit . It keeps everyone on the same playing field as far as judging and speed goes .

All you have to do is shoot a heavier arrow if you are over the limit . They are increasing the limit slowly for the judging classes .

But when you have all those people shooting at these targets over a weekend it takes its toll on the targets . If everyone was shooting 310 ,or faster even , there would be a lot of arrows passing thru targets .

10-4 BH163 and sorry for the rant. Just went on ASA rules last night and I might be able to shoot classes that have a 290 fps max.

No need to be sorry . It is a little slow for you guys that have longer draw lengths . I was just trying to justify their reasoning .
