I've hunted hard since muzzleloader opened and killed a decent 8 last week. I did an all day set today and saw a lot of deer including a big 8 that I passed early this afternoon. About 30 min before dark, this guy came by quick, trailing a doe. I had to make a decision in a hurry and decided to let the savage smokeless talk. I had planned to eat my second tag unless I had an opportunity at a giant but just couldn't let this one walk. I'm happy with him but kinda bummed that my buck season is over. 10 pt. Main frame 9 with a 3" kicker off left base.

I don't blame ya at all, I wouldn't think twice on dropping the hammer on that big boy. Congrats on a great season!!
