Looked like he was limping but I watched the video again. He was holding that beard with one foot

The largest gobbler didn't have a hint of a beard.

Thats amazing. I've always heard it called the smoke phase or smokey grey phase but I've never seen one. Closet reports I've heard was of a smoke phase hen up the road quarter mile from us. They said she looked almost silver color out in the field.

Agreed, my first thought was domestic.

Head shape and color, although it is fall, is also domestic looking. Big pink thick legs.
Those color phases are rare as it is and likely a genetic mutation, not a recessive gene. Would be doubtful to find more than one and the same flock with that mutation.

But still cool, and if I called him up gobbling hard, he sounded like a wild gobbler, stuck his head up over the ridge crest and I shot him, I'd be fine with it 100%

My money says domestic birds. I raise heritage turkeys and that color requires specific breedings over a few generations to accomplish. The likelihood of this showing up randomly is very anorexic.
