So disappointing

Despite extensive trapping efforts on my property and the surrounding properties, including: 13 coyotes, 3 bobcats, 2 foxes, 37 Raccons and 31 Possums...

Not one poult is left.

In fact, I haven't seen a poult at all. I don't know that they even bred successfully.

Now the hens are grouped back up and it's just them. Not a single poult to be seen.

We let 70 acres grow up into CRP. We've done habitat work. I don't know what else to do.

What area are you in? Turkeys in my area aren't very visible this time of year. They also flock to another farm it seems to raise their poults. However, the neighborhood turkeys around the house seem to have had several survivors.

Sometimes you can do everything right and they still don't reproduce. Depending on the timing of breeding in your area, they could have been hatching right when the insane rainfall in May hit. If so.. poof, poults hatching then didn't have a chance.

HAWKS, ALL sizes of HAWKS are your problem.
The only legal way I see of keeping the hawks off the turkey poults is to buy every chicken poult you can find and trun them loose to give the hawks something besides turkey poults to feast on.
