Wife and I want to take a trip to Grand Isle and fish for reds in March. If anyone can offer info about guides and lodging in the area I would appreciate it.
Aaron Pierce is the best. I fish with him every year. Trout and redfish limits every day.

Called Aaron today. He told me hurricane Ida messed up the red fishing but he hopes it will pick back up towards end of March. I passed booking a trip with him. His charter is $900 a day. Maybe I'm out of touch but that seemed a little high for just 2 of us for inshore fishing.

I've got a trip booked with Brandon Ballay the end of September. $700 1-3 people. Might want to check him out. Highly recommended by some on here!

Drive one hour more. Ponchartrain is disgusting. Polluted.
Agreed. I can be at the trestles in 1h 45 min from my house, would rather fish MS marsh or further south to LA marsh.

Sure the trestles can be hot for HAMMER specks certain times of the year, but when it's on, it's just a giant welfare hole with boats all over. Plus, you need a day with very little wind (or a 22ft plus boat) .Much prettier places to fish within a hour drive of the trestles, IMO

He'll carry 4 for the same money. And you limit out. It'sa catching trip, not a fishing trip. He has a condo you stay in and you walk about 40' and hop in his boat at 6 am. You're back at the condo between 10-11am. He filets all your fish and cooks for you one night.

Well worth $900…

He never mentioned the condo and meal. Is that all included in the $900 price?

Condo is not. Neither is the dinner but he cooks for everyone I've sent down there. Just him wanting you to have a great experience.
