Up at 4 to meet up with a buddy at 5 to drive a bit over an hour to meet another friend and disassemble a rotted out floating blind. The thing basically fell apart when they took it off the trailer, and has been sitting in a heap since after last season. Managed to salvage the stove, the tin off 3 walls, the dock floats, and a couple of the shooting platforms. Everything else is soft and rotted. Took the 3 of us 2 hours to rip it apart and pile it up to burn. Now the fun can start. We have that floater to rebuild, a draw blind to build, a boat port to add to a 3rd blind, and a 4th one to figure out where floated off and what has to be done to it. The 4th one was strapped to the front of the one with the missing boat port and at some point between March and August the straps broke and it floated off. If we don't find it before season, it'll probably turn up where someone "salvaged" it, it's pretty unique since its built on floating concrete. Then we can negotiate getting possession of it back, probably after season, but we got enough other places to hunt.
