First of all, I'm 3 for 3 when hunting on a Thanksgiving morning. Secondly, I was initially going to pass on this guy, but two things were against him. First, I'm meat hungry and needed freezer space filled. Second, after eyeballing his antlers through the scope I knew I wanted him. That left nub of an antler has a hole right through it. That's just cool to me. The...I don't even know what to call it..."fin" and what I assume was a drop tine he was working on for the future on his other antler is also neat to me. I love weird antlers.
Hope y'all had a good morning. It was a fun one in Decatur County. Lots of chasing, grunting, and then this guy.
