I had my heart set on a Ruger, but I don't like the "redesigned" model of their .22 pistol. So Browning got my business. Brand new Buckmark Camper .22. I thought about spending some more and getting one of the models with some extra bells and whistles but I opted for the Camper since I can go in later and change the grips, sights, add a red dot scope, new barrel, and about a thousand other after market options if I choose to. I like it.

Looks good TJ. I looke at 22's a year or two back and was down to the Buckmark and Rugers myself. Bass Pro had a Mark III with a 5" bull barrel on sale for $219 or $229 and when I went to pick it up they were out and gave me a rain check. Said they'd call me when they got more in. They never called and I've seen them many times since but ended up doing something else with the money. Everybody needs a .22.

Looks nice. I don't like the newer model Ruger 22s either. I just can't get by that slot cut into the left side of the receiver for the loaded chamber indicator.
