Snuck away from work and got in the tree about 3:00. A little warm but better than it has been. About 4:30 I saw a doe crossing through a clear cut about 100 yds away. About 50 yards behind her was the 8 point I have had on camera. I grunted and he stopped and looked in my direction. He then started heading the way the doe went. I grunted again and he stopped and looked. Little did I know a small 6 was coming up behind me and was thrashing a tree. I guess the 8 thought the grunts were coming from the 6. The 8 turned and came right down the logging road toward me and my live decoy. He stopped at about 20 yards but was on my off side. That 6 really had his attention though and he entered the woods behind me on a well used trail and started toward the smaller buck. He I turned to wait and at 10 yards he stopped in the small window I had. Let her rip and the hammerheads put him down. The little 6 didn't know what happened. He ended up walking right up to my tree and stood for a couple of minutes before easing off. Great night.

Yes I was shaking a little. As for the 6. I think he did have a little swagger when he walked away. I'm trying to upload video of the 6 I took as he came by. I was too nervous to even think about video prior to shot. Not sure how catman does it.
