Hopefully fish, maybe kill a couple squirrels and coyotes.Start day dreaming about turkeys.
 
Been thinking about continuing to hunt the field I've been hunting lately to try and get rid of some pigs I have been seeing...but I'm afraid now that's seasons over ill be watching deer all evening lol.
 
Do trail camera surveys to see what made it, pick trees out for next season and go ahead and cut the limbs for shooting lanes, get ready for turkey season and do some fishing
 
The next 3-4 months are best time to work on trail cams, relocate or put up new stands, work on shooting houses, scout or any other project you can do before the ticks, chiggers, etc are out in force. In the next few days, my son and I will make a list of projects we want to do for next year. We got some work to do on two campers.we don't get depressed over the end of season, we just start working toward the next one.
 
Post season scouting and preparing trees and shooting lanes. Then chase some turkeys. It's been a great season and I thank the good Lord for all the wonderful time spent in the field.
 
Finish up the shoot houses we were building before season got started, scout the land a bit more thoroughly and mark stand locations for the woods, establish some mineral sites, and re set trail cams as far as hunting goes.

Past that it'll be fly fishing in Arkansas at Spring and Little Red, got some good weekend trips planned for other things, and then get back out shooting pistol and rifle. Probably going to get back into IDPA.

I have a 270 to load for. Brand new never shot.

My 300 WSM needs some TLC.

I have two 300 Win Mags. Going to try and get one of them to shoot accurately.

Switching back to 95 or 100 grain Partitions in my 243.

Need a lease or buy property. Have my eye on two sites.
 
run some trail cams , some property maintenance, look at a few spots maybe mark a tree or two that looks good. go to work, drink a beer & get ready to start fishing soon.
 
Still plenty of deer hunting to do in Arkansas before hanging it up. Great time to hunt, bucks are on food source patterns and the pressure is almost non-existent. Shoot ducks in the morning, chase quail in the mid-day and climb a tree in the evening! January is a great month!
 
Take down stand cushions, safety ropes, and lock on stands. Catch up on things around the house and pray for warm weather so I can get the boat out on the lake and do some skiing and just chilling out. Also get things in order for turkey season.
 
Crow shooting. Every year I am looking forward to deer hunting ending so I can roam freely and call crows. It's a welcome break from all the tediousness of having to sit still for hours while pursuing deer. I love shooting a shotgun and watching those big black birds fold up.
 
As soon as I can catch weekend temps around 50, my first scouting trip for next year. On my lease I plan to mark 6-8 additional stand sites. Including a spot for my ladder stand. And I'm going to put out a couple salt blocks. I'll check/refresh during turkey season. Outside of the lease, I have 2/3 TVA tracts close to home. I am going to scout entryways by boat. And finally, get my oldest (6) some range time in. By that time we should be close to turkey season!
 
Relax, honey-do-list, love on my honey :D, cut a few limbs for next year, take down lock-ons and scout some new property. Dream about next years bucks... shucks, opening day of archery season is only 257 days away. :)
 
Predator hunting and fishing, then turkey hunting and fishing, then just fishing with some upland food plot work mixed in.

Moving my cameras for turkey pics/longbeard surveys. Pulling out all 9 of my stands and replacing them with 22 footers. Cutting some 4 wheeler trails while everything is dead to open up some new areas areas of the property. Get ready for turkey season and fishing.
