My son raises show boar goats. He had a couple that had great confirmation but were aggressive so to the processors they went!
I have had bbq goat before and was good with it but never ground or sliced up so for me there is a learning curve. These were good but I think a little Dijon mustard is to be employed next time.
The burger was with a little cowboy seasoning and was very good, the best part was the charbroiled edges so next time thinner burger cooked hotter faster.
It's really clean meat and pretty lean

Never had goat, but had lamb a few times. I found charring that meat gave it better flavor. I can see the similarity. Enjoy

I'm told that goat is similar to deer venison. Is that true?

The only time I had goat, I didn't care for it. It was at a Mexican restaurant fairly renowned for their food. The goat just tasted like a stronger gamey flavor like lamb.

Deer to me doesn't have a gamey flavor anymore, so I wonder how much I'd like goat the next time around. I just remember it being a bit greasy.
