Anyone ever heard of anyone using this gun. I get on Buds Gun Shop every now and then, and this gun keeps catching my eye for $299 with good reviews. Now I KNOW that is a very LOW price for a semi auto shotgun but read this review below for a comparison.

Name I've never heard of it but thats about nothing to pay for a shotgun if it works decent. Especially if you needed a backup or wanted to take someone out on their first hunt. It has the Inertia-X as well. I know some shotguns made in Turkey get frowned upon but is this worth taking a $299 risk? Free shipping through Buds.

Don't know anything about that brand, but I'm hard pressed to find a bad review anywhere of the Tri-Star Turkish made semi-autos, and they run in the 4-500 range. That Girsan review lists them as 699, not 299.

That is what has me so intrigued. Then if I drop it in the water, ive dropped a $300 gun instead of $1200 gun. Do you think Black Synthetic really has a big impact on me killing less birds?

I shoot a black synthetic Maxus. Ducks love it (or hate it!). The guy I hunt with shoots a wood and silver O/U. Never flared a bird. I also have a youth 20 ga semi auto Escort (turkish). Fit and finish aren't a clean as the maxus. It performs and functions awesome. Very small and light gun for squirrels and dove and I wouldn't hesitate to use it on ducks. Used to have a Baikal Mp153 (Remington 453) for a while. Russian I believe, heavy and built like a freakin tank on AK spring platform. Would shoot anywhere anytime. $300 for a 3.5" semi auto.

I bought one and figured I'd give it a go for $316 and change to my ffl. So far, a very limited test, no issues. Have 2 more hints lined up this week and next. Will let you know how it goes after a good amount of shells. Only issues I found so far are the threads on the barrel are a tad tough. No biggie there and easy fix. The other is the metal. For years of service I'm thinking a dipping of some sort will be needed. Just seems to be a little rough around the edges but no complaints so far

Well I've had a chance to take it out on 3 different hunts so far. All in all, I'm very pleased with the purchase. Not the prettiest gun I've ever owned but it goes bang, bang, bang. Hunted in the rain, no issues. Only had 1 ftf and that was my fault. I caught the bolt handle as I was raising up. The gun points, swings and feels great. I'll post some more after another few hunts.
