Giles Co
Was this due to a noted drop in population? I was under the impression that Giles was loaded with them - enough to host celebrity hunts in the past. Thanks in advance - Steve.

yep.. seems like south of hwy 64 they are almost non-existent

That's what I've noticed as well. My farm is south of 64 in Lawrence and they disappeared around 2007. I think they are slowly making a comeback though.

I might add that although there was a drop in harvest in those three counties they appear to be stabilizing which is completely normal for restored populations. We are continuing to conduct research there to see it anything is out of the ordinary but as of right now it's too early to tell. Keep in mind Giles county is still in the top 10 in turkey harvest across the state.
