Really need to go to this farm to move trailcams but decided to climb up in a little locon i hadnt hunted in a couple yrs to see if anything would stick its head out. Had a large bobcat come in and watch me for a bit. Let him stroll off. The yote that came by later wasnt so lucky. Shot him about 4 and around 4:15 had Kickstand- a buck inhadnt seen since opening week of bow season, came through chasing a doe. I didnt shoot him this time but next time may be different.

Yote and a few pics of kickstand.

Looks like a 336 .
Its a marlin 336 in 30-30. My dad bought in new in late 1970s but never hunted with it. Its about like new. Its definitely trimmer and more slender than tge newer models. Using the winchester silvertips that he bought with the gun. Scope is a baush and lomb elite 4000 1.5-6x36 in extra low rings.all i want to hunt with now and i have a lot of other deer rifles

LOOKS like a CS but I don't see the safety.. they made so many models. Beautiful rifle.

That's a great sit. Buck is a big one I would have dropped him. I hunt with a 336 30/30 most of the time for last several years. Not a late 70's though. I use to use late 70's marlin 44. It got stolen and I couldn't afford the 44 so k got a 30/30.

Congrats on the yote and good luck on the buck! I've killed one bobcat in my life and mounted it. I know I should probably shoot them like a yote but there's something about them that's fun to watch. Graceful animals and it's been a couple years since I've seen one.

In the pics, looks like a great 3.5yo. If he is 3.5, Mr Kickstand will be in the 150s next year!
Here he is in the same spot on sep 8 2022. If he is a 2 yr old there, hes by far the best i have ever seen. I also have a video from early october 2021 of him as an outstanding 2 yr (in my mind anyway), about 200 yards from there. I am thinking he may just be a buck that due to geentics, is a little leaner made

Someone may have hacked Redbloods account. I've known him personally for many years and there's no way he's deer hunting without a CRF bolt action rifle.
