There are lots of rules for the fort. You will need to get a fort post permit which can be obtained from website. Send that in with I think $50 and that will get you a permit. When you get to the fort you will need to go to Gate 1 (I think) and register your firearm and keep that permit on you. To get a spot they have an automated call in that will begin 2 days before the day you are going to hunt. Active military gets first shot, then dependents, then civilians. The areas that are open to hunt will be listed on the website a few days before. If you get lucky and get a unit then you will go to the MWR office off Lafayette Road. You will need to have your picture taken the first time to get your post id card then you will go to then office next door and pick up your unit permit which you will keep one copy in your truck and the other copy on yourself. Make sure you park on the same side of the road that your unit is on. If you kill something you will need to try and get it to the check in station a couple of hours after dark. There are a few more odds and ends and I went off memory so hopefully some others will correct me or add to this. The hardest part is getting through on the automated call in system and then when you do get through actually finding a unit that isn't full.
