Who ever said that Oysters had to be farm raised to be safe? People have been eating wild oysters for thousands of years.

Coastal areas around the globe have the same tidal cycle of 24 hours and 50 minutes based on the Lunar Day.

You are certainly entitled to your personal preference of cold water oysters, but the rest of it isn't rooted in fact.

I always thought scallops could not be eaten in certain months, I think avoid the months with no R's. Don't know why that is, just we heard.

Tide cycle time sure, volume of water related to larger ocean currents and turnover, no. Every seen the backwater of Maine on low water? You can't honestly say that it is remotely similar to a gulf tide.

Bet you won't eat an oyster in July from pine island sound or Estero Bay.
