Never hunted in freezing rain might go sit in the barn good thicket behide it might see something.i guess you dont know till you go ive never killed one layin in bed LOL ( im not to smart)
 
I've hunted after an ice storm before, and can say with total confidence that it was a mistake! I saw some deer moving thru the winter wonderland, but the danger level was high, as tree limbs, huge ones, were snapping and falling all around me! They sounded like rifle shots when they would break!
 
Well I saw a six point buck 20 minutes after sunrise and that was it when you let a deer walk in freezer rain you're either lazy or just plain patient as Hell LOL and yes it is dangerous I heard tree limbs Poppin everywhere but I was in the comfort of a barn and nice and dry.

Well went out this afternoon only saw two does And they were kamikaze does I was sitting in a pan ticket right no they cross from time to time in the afternoon and I heard of bunch of crashing and banging ducked My head trying to protect myself I look to my right and A doe is literally 10 foot from me full speed by the time I got my gun up she was gone but lo and behold here comes the second one she startled me I Startled her she stopped dead in her tracks looking right at me pull the trigger got me a big startled her she stopped dead in her tracks looking right at me pull the trigger got me a big doe. First one of the year. I have literally probably let 75 deer walked by me and after tonight I know why when I say it was a big doe it was a big doe. So all in all not a bad day in the freezing rain any time you spend time with the Lord and nature you can't go wrong.

Where are just looked up what I couldn't figure out If you read the last post disregard my idiotic statements I need it been a while since I cleaned a doe but darn If you can't laugh at yourself you can't laugh at all
