Don't blame him.

Plus Freeze may be at TN for a year and the a HC job after. So why not get someone that will be there for a few years at least?

If it is true I would raise absolute Hell with Boyd if I were Pruitt! At some point you have to give the head coach what he wants or needs to succeed. Or what he feels like he needs to succeed. Freeze may be gone in a year or two but it's a risk I'd be willing to take. Looks like Pruitt feels that way too. I would also have his contract written in such a way to really put a leash on him and to protect the University. That is complete BS! The higher ups at UT really make me mad. Big donors or not The Haslams need to go and anyone in cahoots with them!!!! Or maybe just take there money and tell them to shutup and they don't have the final say. If Freeze leaves after one year then that would mean that he put something respectable on the field. I'll take it. We'll worry about the year after, then.
 
Would anybody be shocked if Freeze doesn't get the job. If I remember right Ole MI$$ was out of control and dude was calling escort service on recruiting trips. Talk about baggage and that includes the bag man.

I think it will be Lindsey. If it was gong to be Freeze, it would have been done before SECCG, for media reasons.
Sidenote:If Lindsey is still on AU staff Monday, he gets $100k.

I figured that if they were going to make an announcement it would be before today's game. That way the game would overshadow the hire and less negative attention by the media, because it's coming if they hire Freeze.

Its looking more and more like Mike Locksley will land the head job at Maryland and Freeze will wind up at ALABAMA . Freeze knows his chances of landing a HC job will be faster through the track at ALABAMA than at vols or auburn. One more bad season at auburn and gus in packing up the bus for sure and that leaves Freeze in the wind once again and at vols he is going to have to prove himself really strong to make a name for himself. Going to be tough with a team rebuilding. I just don't see it in the cards for him.

Freeze is going to hate his one year at ALABAMA and have to suck up to Saban but its what is best for him.
