I was trying hard to come up with somewhere to get a magnet, and low and behold, looked in my tool box(machinist), and have several mag bases for indicators, the on/off switch kind. Took one to the house yesterday. :)

I was kind of figuring you had an electro-magnet one that could lift a car and it would be powered by a AAA battery. Machinists always have a tool cabinet the size of an 18-wheeler.

Whatever you do, don't put your wet brass inside two or three pillow cases, tie wrap them closed, and stick thm in the clothes dryer. The brass will get dented and the inside of the dryer will take a turrible beating.
