Fox Squirrel range?

I have never shot a fox squirrel and would like to harvest one.
A few weeks ago I saw what I thought was a fox in a field on the edge of the woods. Turned out it was a HUGE fox squirrel. I see dozens of gray squirrels in the same area almost every day.
My question is,how far do they range/travel day to day? Is it 20 acres or just a couple of acres?
Chances he will still be in that area when Spring squirrel season opens?

Fox squirrels love the edges of timber. I used to hunt one of the best squirrel bottoms I've known and could kill a limit of squirrels every trip, two trips a day, throughout the entire season, and never dent their population. As long as I was in the interior of the woods it was almost always 100% grey squirrels. as soon as I got within 50 yards of the edge of the woods I'd pick up on mostly fox squirrels. The same could be said for a few of the other places I've hunted as well. So-o-o if you do go looking for them that's where I'd concentrate my efforts.
