Fox Question

Run the traps this am and had a nice little grey fox. My question for the trappers is where do you catch most of your foxes. I have never caught a fox (red or grey) more than 75 yards from a house or barn/outbuilding. I honestly don't catch many foxes period.

I think they are close to houses because the coyotes have pushed them there and they have learned to adapt and survive

Foxes are few and far between in my area. Thought they were starting to make a little comeback but they've disappeared again. Had a beautiful cross fox and some reds along with a grey or two but no sightings or pictures since last year. No doubt the coyotes are hard on them. I've got rid of 10 coyotes off my farm since early fall including 2 over the weekend. Thought I might be getting somewhere but found where a pair came through one of my gates last night or this morning.
