Found the best orange paint to best match UT orange, details below

Valspar "orange fruit" color code in valspar is 2011-1. The RGB for it is 252,137, 1

UT orange is RGB 255, 130, 0:

I spent hours color matching after Lowes mistakenly told me that their color "Island orange" from valspar (2010-2) is the best color, when in fact it is way off:

Another something that you guys should all know is, and pardon me if you're already know this, but I did not, and that is if you go to a paint store like Lowe's or Home Depot and try to color match, they cannot match off of an RGB code, or a hex code or a numeric code, they only can use the companies codes that they have on file, so it is very difficult

The other codes, including the Pantone code, RGB code, and the hex codes are used for ink and printing only, but apparently not for painting, which I thought was interesting

That's what I did when I passed the Tuscaloosa exit on I-20 yesterday.

Try Benjamin Moore paints or a paint only store.
