Maybe a knife blade? I don't know. Overall length is 4 3/8 by 1 1/2" wide. Just guessing, would this be considered archaic?
I can't answer those questions. All I know is it was found originally in the south eastern Indiana. I "Found" it on a dealers table at a knife show in pigeon Forge Tennessee this past Friday. It was the only piece he had was kind of buried in amongst his knife display. When I ask him about it he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about and when he saw it he said he forgot he had that in there. Said he had a bunch of stuff he just didn't bring it. I asked him to price it and he said $30. I thought that sounded like a really good price for a nice piece so I bought it. Assuming it is some type of blade, a bet I bought the oldest knife at the show.Nice blade! Hard to tell but it kind of looks like an Adena. Was it in a creek? If you've found others nearby that could give context to which group/time period it is from.
