Wound up buying a little plastic boat last week. Took it out Saturday and caught a few crappie, but no keepers.
Took it out again this afternoon. I dropped in at 2:00, and had to leave by 4:30. I trolled around just trying different areas, and had no luck. At 4:30 I was on the way back to the truck and was standing up while trolling. I saw some fish in the shallows along the banks that appeared to be bass. I threw a worm at them and caught 3 bass in the 2-3 lb range in 5 casts. I didn't want to leave, but I had to scramble. No monsters, but hopefully gives me a little better idea what to look for now.
